Abstract

The paper structures historical elements on the appearance of publications dedicated to the scientific culture in Uruguay and in the region of the Campaign in the Brazilian State of Big Rio do Sul and is inquired about the nature of linkages that platinum space and that favored the emergence of two specialized publications analysed their willingness to learn and power. Are outlined aspects of the Uruguayan magazine La Propaganda Rural and publications created by an association of South Brazilian producers, to recover elements of a certain cultural unity overlooked by the alleged differentiation in the affirmation of the nation-states of Uruguay and Brazil.
