Abstract

The interview with Carlos del Valle Rojas invites us to think how to build and have built media discourses in Chile. Digital Television Act, appears as the core of this interview, understood as a public policy –fundamental, but not sufficient– driven by the current democratic government of Michelle Bachelet, but also the role of the Chilean media during the Military Regime (1973-1990) and in the complex relation between the State and indigenous peoples.
