Abstract

This article proposes a reflection on some of the challenges of the political thought and the social critical sciences in Latin America. First he identifies some polemics epistemológicas concerning the status of the knowledge in the social sciences and his relation with the political thing. I come second, it indicates the need to go beyond called to the critical thought to assume the challenges and the theoretical and methodological efforts that these challenges they imply, between, rethinking matters of social ontology, epistemología and social theory. Finally, it repairs in some of the efforts that, from the governments of the «draft to the left side» appear as new opened and controversial experiences in that governments, universities and communities enter to work common matters.
