Abstract

This article provides evidence of the presence of stereotypes, prejudice and ethnic discrimination in judgments of the courts of the region of La Araucanía in Chile to Mapuche descent. In this way, we will contribute to a better understanding of the use of discursive - communication strategies in judgments about cases 12,576 (case of the Lonkos) and 12,611 (Case of Poluco Pidenco) against the State of Chile in the Inter-American Commission of Human Rights.
