Abstract

By means of the reconstruction of the diverse sociocultural representations to which there appealed the newspaper La Nación during the year 1982, the authors analyze the institutional terms of reference that the early morning supported to form a negative social imaginary on the role of the labour movement in this situation. The analysis demonstrates the publishing strategies used by the newspaper of the Mitre Family to associate his exercise with demagoguery, corruption, excesses, vices and mean interests, in an opposite way to the construction of the Guerra de Malvinas as the exploit that was marking a point of inflexion in the history of the country and as the way to recover the democracy and the republic.
