University and Collective Process to Forty Years of the Coup d’Etat

Abstract

With the Coup d’état of 1976 there was interrupted the project of national and popular university, to the service of the social transformation, which had begun in 1973. The closing career –included that of Journalism–, groups of work, investigations and extension projects, and the disappearance of hundreds of persons was the balance of the dictatorial period. In 1993, to this it added the torture, the disappearance and the death of the student of journalism Michael Bru to hands of the Buenos Aires police. Since then, as the author supports, this sad load involves for the Faculty and for the whole community a constant fight in search of truth and justice.
