Abstract

From the first Mexican muralist movement until today, art and culture workers assume public art as a fertile ground for historical criticism. Building the «citizen artist» requires the recovery and updating of Siqueiros’ proposals enriched with the current courses, for the promotion and development of a public art in accordance with the actual times in which the significance is also in dispute.
