Abstract

On Christmas Eve, fifty years ago, the book by Ariel Dorfman and Armand Mattelart, that would become a reference work in the field of communication studies, To read Donald Duck (1971), was published in Chile.

As a tribute, the journal Tram[p]as de la Comunicación y la Cultura publishes the special dossier «50 years of the first edition of To reed Donald Duck», coordinated by Andrea Varela, journal director, and Luciano Sanguinetti, professor of this house of studies.

The articles, edited by the Dirección de Publicaciones Científicas of the Facultad de Periodismo y Comunicación Social of the UNLP, constitute a series of valuable works that once again sow paths, projects and readings.

Its authors are: Gabriel Sarmiento (investigador independiente), Carlos del Valle (Universidad de La Frontera, Chile), Francisco Sierra Caballero (Universidad de Sevilla, España), Ricardo Jorge de Lucena Lucas (Universidade Federal do Ceará, Brasil), Nancy Díaz Larrañaga (Universidad Nacional de La Plata y Universidad Nacional de Quilmes, Argentina), Daniel Badenes y Alfredo Alfonso (Universidad Nacional de Quilmes, Argentina) y Luciano Sanguinetti (Universidad Nacional de La Plata, Argentina).
