Methodological decisions about a political public participation. How to study the articulation between the subject and the collective?

Abstract

The objective of this work is to reflex about the methodological decisions taken about a public politic of the public participation: the Participative Budget of La Plata and to expose some of the reached results. The article is structured in three parts: firstly, the methodological antecedents about the thematic of the popular participation are synthesized and the main statements about the discussion of the articulation about the macro- micro social perspective. Secondly, some reflexions about the focusing and methodological techniques used to reach the participative budget as a public politic are exposed. Finally, it sketches some results of the analysis previously made recovering the theory- methodological mark that tries to combine a modality of investigation from the collective as structure (tacking in consideration the context, the organization forms, the demands, etc) and a more interpretative perspective of the collective action that investigate the meanings that the actors gives to their practices, the previous participative trajectories that sustains this and the motivations for the participation on this public politic, the strategies of the different actors, the relations of confrontation and agreement between them.
