Abstract

This article aims at analyze those zones in Bourdieu`s, Giddens´s and Habermas´s theories, where the authors attempt to explain the sense production of social practices. This compels us to pay attention on the way each author reflects on the place of discourse on society. Furthermore, we seek to contribute to the dialogue between Social Theory and Communication Sciences, whereas both disciplines, historically, have tended to share (and actually share) objects and problems, in particular those related to the symbolic dimension of social life.
