The Cordoba press during the first military dictatorship (1930-1931)
Keywords:
coup in 1930, cordobian press, argentinian pressAbstract
This paper aims to analyze the position of the Cordoba press in the 1930 Argentina coup d’état. Each province will have a narrative rooted in its own political and journalistic history which must be incorporated into the national history. This means to outline the general guidelines of Cordoba journalistic field and the climate of ideas that - through the press - encouraged the 1920s decade. Understanding the positions faced with the coup situation would be very difficult without these scenarios. A comparative inquiry to the daily press Los Principios, La Voz del Interior and Córdoba is done, without ignoring, whenever it is necessary, reference to other newspapers that had a satellite location in the journalistic field of the time. As it will be observed, ideas mix, fight and intertwine in diverse positions in the three newspapers developing support or resistance to the first experience of military coup.Downloads
