Abstract

This work addresses the stigmatization and criminalization of young people on TV Argentina, specifically in organized narrative of the genre as rhetorical or docurreality docudrama. The aim is to contribute, from a communications perspective, the demystification of the notion of youth forged in discourses on crime and punishment, showing that the construction of the image of the young - offender responds to a binary discourse model victim / victimizer that traces exclusionary manner of living otherness. The matrix of social defense constitutes a trait that legitimizes the exclusion period, while amplifying the border between us / others.
